Australian centre Josh Smith has joined Warrington on a two-year contract after impressing for Brisbane Tigers in the Queensland Cup.
He made 20 appearances for the Tigers in 2025, scoring 10 tries, providing five try assists and being named as their player of the year. His tackle efficiency was 85.9 per cent with 183 tackles made and only 30 missed.
Born in the town of Echuca in Victoria, his debut club was the Mackay Cutters in Queensland where he spent three seasons, scoring 31 tries in 56 appearances.
On signing for Warrington, he said: “I am very grateful and excited for the opportunity ahead of myself at Warrington and it is a move that definitely excites me, especially after talking to Gary Chambers and Sam Burgess about the club and the future aspirations.
“I have always looked at Super League from afar and been a fan of it, so this is an opportunity that I wanted to take with both hands, to challenge myself and also take my game to another level.”
