Luke Thomas is a 6ft 1in prop who has battled back from a serious injury to win a place in the Warrington squad. He was capped by Wales before he made his Warrington debut.
As a youngster, he played for Sandbach RUFC and Warrington RUFC.
He played for the Latchford Giants community club, captaining teams from under-12s to under-16s, before joining Warrington’s scholarship programme. He was the Warrington’s under-16s Man of Steel in 2019.
He made his Wales debut, aged 19, as a substitute against France in Albi in June 2022.
Two months later, he made his Warrington debut at Leeds and scored his first try for the club at Salford in the last game of that season.
He was then called into the Wales squad for the delayed 2021 Rugby League World Cup as a replacement for the injured Ben Evans.
He has had loan spells with Rochdale Hornets (2022), Swinton Lions (2023) and Hull KR (2023).
Disaster struck in the pre-season fixture against Leigh Leopards in February 2024 when he suffered a ruptured ACL which required surgery, ruling him out for the rest of the year.
He was back in action in 2025 and featured for Widnes Vikings on dual registration before playing in Warrington’s last six games.
