Veteran scrum-half Marc Sneyd has one of the best kicking games in Super League and is an outstanding goalkicker.
He has also written his name in Challenge Cup history by winning the Lance Todd Trophy three times – twice with Hull FC in 2016 and 2017 and once with Warrington in 2025.
He has also displayed remarkable courage. In April 2025, for example, he suffered a fractured eye socket against St Helens but was back for the Challenge Cup semi-final against Leigh just 17 days later.
Born in Oldham, Sneyd played his junior rugby with Waterhead Warriors before signing for Salford. He joined Castleford on loan for the 2014 season before enjoying seven successful seasons with Hull FC.
Sneyd returned to Salford for the 2022 campaign and his excellent form and numerous player-of-the-match awards earned him a place in the England squad for the delayed 2021 Rugby League World Cup.
As Salford’s financial problems deepened, he was sold to Warrington in March 2025. Three months later, he was back at Wembley and producing another superb individual performance.
