James Harrison is a towering 6ft 4in prop with a good tryscoring record. He already has 50 career tries to his credit including 14 in his first 80 appearances for Warrington.
He has played at Wembley three times – twice for Warrington and once for Featherstone Rovers – and won an England cap against France in 2023.
Son of the Great Britain international Karl Harrison, Jimmy began his career at Drighlington ARLFC before joining the Huddersfield Giants scholarship programme and the youth academy at Bradford Bulls. Signed by Batley, aged 19, he spent three seasons with the Bulldogs, scoring 17 tries in 58 games.
Three seasons with Featherstone Rovers, one of his father’s former clubs, followed with 19 tries in 47 games showing his eye for an opening. He scored a try at Wembley in July 2021 as Featherstone beat York City Knights 41-34 in a classic 1895 Cup final.
He signed for Warrington in August 2021 but, two weeks later, suffered an ACL injury which required reconstruction surgery and delayed his Wire debut.
He worked his way back to full fitness in 2022 before hitting top form in 2023 to earn an England cap against France at The Halliwell Jones Stadium.
In June 2025, he was named in Shaun Wane’s train-on squad for the Ashes series but missed out after having surgery on a shoulder problem.
His father, Karl, won 14 caps for Great Britain and played for England in the 1995 Rugby League World Cup final against Australia at Wembley.
