Back-row forward Tom Whitehead is a product of the famous Saddleworth Rangers community club where he started playing aged eight.
He grew up in Oldham and attended Saddleworth School before signing scholarship forms with Warrington and transferring to Birchwood College.
His father, John, was a professional squash player who reached England training level before his career was cut short by injury.
Tom signed a four-year contract with Warrington in April 2021 and made his Wolves debut at Salford, aged 19, on the last day of the 2022 season.
He has spent time on loan at Rochdale Hornets (2022), and Swinton Lions and North Wales Crusaders (both 2023). As a former half-back, he is comfortable with the ball in his hands.
