Unselfish in attack and firm in defence, Toby developed into one of the best centres in the game with some stunning performances last season. They led to him being awarded recognition for the Super League Dream Team and he has also been drafted into Shaun Wane’s England train-on squad for the World Cup in the autumn. Toby’s ability to carve his way through the opposing defence and create scoring opportunities for himself and others cemented his place in the Wolves back line. He played initially for Meltham All Blacks in Huddersfield where he was born. Toby made his first team debut in July 2014 when we thrashed London Broncos 72-12 and in his next appearance in 2015 he touched down twice in the 80-0 thumping of Wakefield. It was against Trinity that he scored a fine try in the 2016 Challenge Cup semi-final. Toby missed selection for Ireland’s World Cup squad in 2017 because of injury but he earned selection for the England Knights a year later and played in both their internationals against Papua New Guinea.
