England international Danny Walker is now Warrington’s first-choice hooker after sharing the role with Daryl Clark. Effervescent in the loose, he has an excellent kicking game.

Warrington-born Danny played for Rylands Sharks, aged six, before joining the Widnes Academy and signing professional forms with them. He was the Widnes Young Player of the Year in 2017.

In July 2018 he was selected in the England Knights performance squad and went on tour to Papua New Guinea that October.

He signed a three-year contract with Warrington in October 2018, aged 19, after Widnes were relegated from Super League.

He made 71 tackles in one match at Salford in September 2020, missing just one.

He captained England Knights against Jamaica in October 2021 and scored a try in a comfortable 56-4 victory.

He made a tryscoring debut for England against France at the Halliwell Jones in April 2023. 

In May 2023, he signed a long-term contract extension with Warrington until the end of the 2026 season.

He featured in all three Tests as England completed a clean sweep over Tonga in the 2023 series.
