Warrington-born Joe makes an impact every time he plays and remarkably of his 133 appearances in primrose and blue just 24 have been in the starting line-up. Initially he played for Culcheth Eagles and Latchford Albion. He made his debut for Wire in 2014 against Hull KR in a 34-4 win at Craven Park, became a mainstay of the matchday squad in 2018 and is contracted to the end of 2024. His continued no-nonsense approach and powerful and determined barges in midfield have earned him both the admiration of the crowd and well deserved senior international recognition with Great Britain. He was selected for the Lions touring team playing Down Under in 2019 and earned caps (from the bench) against New Zealand and Papua New Guinea. No doubt he will be adding more to his collection when the World Cup series comes round in the autumn. Joe figured in the 2017 World Cup tournament as a member of the Ireland squad that performed so well against PNG, Wales and Italy. A year later he changed allegiances, being picked for the England Knights and he figured in their two internationals against PNG. Joe scored a vital try for us against St Helens in the 2019 Challenge Cup Final.
