An explosive ball-carrier, the tall and rangy Tongan international born in New Zealand was recruited by Wolves in August 2017 from the Penrith Panthers with whom he had helped to reach the NRL play-offs. Sitaleka’s strong performances with his hometown Manurewa Marlins in Auckland and within the New Zealand Warriors junior system attracted the attention of Wests Tigers whom he joined in 2013. Sitaleka switched to the Panthers for the 2016 campaign, quickly establishing a regular place in the side. He earned his cap for Tonga in 2014 but missed out on certain World Cup selection in 2017 when Andrew Fifita switched from the Kangaroos. He has now made 55 league and cup appearances for Wire and has scored seven tries.
