Luke made 750 tackles in his 24 Super League appearances, more than any other Warrington player, at an average of 31 tackles per game.
Born in Newcastle, New South Wales, he is a product of the Newcastle Knights club and made 25 NRL appearances for them in 2017 and 2018 before moving to England.
Impressive spells with London Broncos (2019), Salford Red Devils (2020) and Huddersfield Giants (2021-24) followed before he joined Warrington in July 2024.
With London Broncos, he was second in Super League’s Top Tackler award. With Salford and with Huddersfield he reached Challenge Cup finals. He made a third Challenge Cup final appearance with Warrington in 2025.
Away from the rugby field, he is studying part-time for a degree in the Science of Sport Performance at Leeds Beckett University.
He explained: “I’m interested in sports science and high performance.
“I thought when I do finish playing rugby I want to stay in sport in some capacity and it’s really important to get a degree while I’m still playing to help set me up for that. If I can graduate from this course by the time I’ve finished playing then the transition won’t be too difficult. I’m studying it part-time and my academic advisers have been really helpful with me to be flexible and juggle studying around my rugby.”
