The Rugby League World Cup is one month away and to celebrate the National Lottery Trophies Tour will stop off in the town on Tuesday 20 September.
The three World Cup trophies will be joined by rugby heroes past and present, as well as club and tournament mascots Wolfie and Rugbee, under the Old Market Place at Golden Square Shopping Centre between 4pm-5.30pm. Parking will be free during that period on Times Square multi-storey car park.
Come along and get your pictures with the trophies and mascots ahead of the tournament. The trophies will then move on to Victoria Park from 6pm where our Warrington Wolves Foundation are hosting a junior rugby event.
Furthermore, Warrington is celebrating Women in Rugby League with a ‘Life with the Lionesses’ exhibition in Golden Square from the 17th-25th September, 11am-4.30pm.
Warrington will host three men’s group game matches as well as a quarter final during this autumn’s tournament. The PDRL festival of World Cups tournament will also exclusively be held in the town. Tickets are on sale now.
