Wolves Foundation Family Mile

Warrington Wolves Foundation are happy to launch Wolves Foundation Family Mile sponsored by RBS.

The event will be held at Victoria Park Asics Arena on the 23rd July 10.30am warm up to start.
The event all about encouraging people to get active regardless of their physical ability! Participation is encouraged for people of all ages, from toddlers, teens, parents, grandparents and absolutely anyone else who wants to get involved! There’s no rule to say you have to run!

The event is also a great opportunity for local groups to get involved, including community clubs, scouts and girl guides. Groups are welcome to campaign for their own sponsorship and raise money for their organisation!

As well as the Family Mile, the day will include a variety of other activities and stalls around the park, as the Foundation look to make it a real family occasion to remember.

Amy Sparks, RBS Warrington Bank Manager commented

‘At RBS Warrington the health and wellbeing of our community is really important to us. We are honoured to be supporting such a fantastic event as it is a great opportunity for everyone to come together, to have fun and enjoy the run whilst supporting The Warrington Wolves foundation in building a stronger, healthier community’.

CEO of Assura Jonathan Murphy, who are supporting the event for a second year, said: “As a Warrington business, we’re really proud to be supporting this event again because it all comes back to health in our community – both for everyone taking part on the day, and for those who’ll be supported by the Wolves Foundation thanks to the money raised.”

Everyone at Warrington Wolves would like to thank the sponsors for their continued support of this great event!

Shaun Briscoe from the Wolves Foundation added

‘This is the second Foundation family mile and we are hoping to make it bigger and better year after year. We have moved from Walton Gardens to Victoria Park Aspics Arena, because of the success we had in year one to accommodate more runners. We are hoping this  will be a real family event and would fantastic to see two, three or even four generations of families taking part! It doesn’t matter if you walk, jog or crawl round it’s just being active and being part of the event.’

You can sign up for the Foundation Mile by clicking the button below. Remember, there are only 500 places, so book early to avoid missing out!
