Head of coaching and rugby Tony Smith on Mitchell Dodds following his leg break in Saturday’s away fixture against Catalans Dragons.
“Mitchell Dodds had his operation yesterday. It was successful and he is due out of hospital tomorrow to fly back on Wednesday. Ben Stirling, head of performance services, is over there with him.
“The surgeon was pleased with the way the bones knitted back together during the operation. Without any further complications it is expected to be a six month recovery. All being well, we’ll see Mitch by the back end of the season for the last month – if we play for as long as we can – which would be great because he certainly, in the brief time he played, did a good job for us.”
