In Memory of Lol McGann

It is with deep regret that we inform you of the recent passing of lifelong supporter and valued ‘Lucky 7’ agent Lol McGann.

Lol had been a lottery agent since it was set up in the 1970s and raised tens of thousands of pounds in vital funding for youth and community development at the club.

He brought much love and laughter to us all here at the club and will be greatly missed. We send our deepest condolences to his wife Chris, daughters Debbie and Catherine, grandson Isaac and granddaughter Natasha.

Isaac’s tribute: “My Grandad was a legend and my best mate. He used to tell me about how good Harry Bath and Brian Bevan were. He was a Wire through and through.”

Natasha’s tribute: “Everyone who knew my grandad Lol loved him dearly. He’d always cheer you up and make you laugh with all his jokes and stories. He loved watching the rugby and always followed the Wire. Well and truly a Wire till he died.

Lol’s funeral will take place on Monday 21 May, 12.30pm at St Benedict’s Church; on to Fox Covert at 2pm. His funeral cortege will pass The Halliwell Jones Stadium at around 1.30pm. Lol’s family have said that all are welcome. They have requested family flowers only and all donations made are to the British Heart Foundation or Warrington Wolves Foundation.
