Head coach Steve Price spoke after his side shared the points with Catalans in a 22-22 draw.
“I thought we played some really good footy in patches but we then gave them opportunities with field position. In the first half, a couple of their tries inside our 10 metres just wasn’t us; that’s not our standard. We were doing okay behind two at half time and then showed a lot of resolve and character in that second half to give ourselves opportunities to win the game but it wasn’t to be.
“It was a point lost tonight as we created enough opportunities. We were doing a lot of good things as a group but let them off in other situations with penalties and errors so we need to address that; I know I have a playing group who will fix that and rectify it. I’ve got a football team that was just a bit uncharacteristic in a number of things but credit to them (Catalans).
“At half time it was more about building pressure and staying in the fight with the kicking game important in those wet conditions and field position.
“There were big performances through the middle with Chris Hill and Mike Cooper. Stef Ratchford did some really nice touches and I thought Tyrone had some nice plays also.
“We’ve come away with one point; a team that’s been in pretty consistent form of late so now we move on to next week.
“Goodwin has got a bit of knee injury. It was a big play of the game to nullify a speed machine in David Mead to stop that try.”
