Having starred for Huddersfield so many times when playing against us after arriving in England in 2017, the news of Jake’s move to the Halliwell Jones was truly well received. Despite keen competition for places in the backs Jake has played himself into the side and has been rewarded with a contract extension to the end of 2021. Jake is of Maltese descent and after winning several player of the year awards with Newcastle Knights’ junior sides he stepped up to the senior team in the NRL in 2014. He ended the season representing the Junior Kangaroos against their Kiwi counterparts, scoring a try. In 2015 he played in the Knights’ New South Wales Cup Grand Final winning side.
