Magic Weekend Heads Back To Newcastle

Warrington Wolves will face rivals Wigan Warriors as the Dacia Magic Weekend returns to Newcastle for the 2020 Betfred Super League season.

The game sees a repeat of this year’s clash at Anfield when The Wire came out on top with a 26-14 victory to claim the resurrected Locker Cup.

The event had a four-year stint at St James Park between 2015 and 2018, attracting record crowds in 2017.

Magic Weekend, which has also been held in Manchester, Edinburgh and Cardiff in its history, moved to Anfield for the first time in 2019.

St Helens and Salford Red Devils play each other at 5.15pm on May 23 in-between Castleford Tigers against Catalans Dragons and Leeds Rhinos versus Hull FC.

Dacia Magic Weekend debutants Toronto Wolfpack play Huddersfield Giants at 12.30pm on Sunday, ahead of the Wire’s clash with the Warriors. Wakefield Trinity against Hull KR is final match at 5pm.

2020 Members will get 50% off their Magic Weekend ticket when buying directly through the club. Tickets for the event will go on sale later this month.
