Warrington Wolves have revealed a limited edition training t-shirt in support of the Red Cross who have been helping Australia deal with devastating bushfires this summer.
Their Disaster Relief and Recovery Fund has meant that The Australian Red Cross been able to deploy 1,285 trained staff and volunteers to disaster-affected communities. In more than 69 evacuation and recovery centres, their emergency teams have been ready to welcome people who have fled from the fires.
Warrington Wolves CEO, Karl Fitzpatrick commented, “We have been disturbed by the images of the devastation the fires have caused.
“We have many friends in Australia, it’s a country we have such a close affinity with. We wanted to pledge our support and show that all at Warrington Wolves and all our supporters are thinking of them. I’d like to thank O’Neills who are also making a donation for every t-shirt sold.”
Former Wire star, now an Australian firefighter, Trent Waterhouse added, “These bushfires have been devastating Australia this summer with people losing their lives and their homes, to have my old club Warrington pledge their support to help the victims of these fires is very touching and on behalf of Australia we thank you very much Warrington Wolves this is greatly appreciated.”
The limited Edition training t-shirt is available from today for pre-order. The cut-off date for all orders is Friday 17th January at 4pm. Delivery is expected 17th February, shirts will then be posted/ available for collection from Wednesday 19th February.
As this shirt is Limited Edition it will be available for pre-orders only, and not available in store.
The shirts are priced at £37 adults and £32 juniors and a donation will be made to Australian Red Cross in support of the victims of the Australian bush fires from Warrington Wolves and O’Neills.
