Today marks the 100th anniversary of the start of Britain's involvement in World War One.
Around 17 million soldiers and civilians were killed between 1914 and 1918, and today many events will take place across the UK to mark the anniversary.
Many Warrington heroes were called to the colours and fought different battles on foreign fields during the First World War.
Eleven players volunteered their services before the start of the conflict, 25 had enlisted before the end of that fateful summer and more would join up before the cessation of hostilities.
The stadium’s Heritage Timeline commemorates these players who will be remembered today.
