What an afternoon we had on Sunday and there wasn't just the winning score line to celebrate.
Hooker Micky Higham made his 150th appearance for the club, Toby King made his Super League debut starting at centre and prop Paul Wood crossed for his 50th try in Primrose and Blue.
The Wolves' 17 featured 10 home-grown players including three teenagers; Ben Currie (19), Joe Philbin (19) and Toby King (18).
Currie celebrated a hat-trick of tries and King became the fifth debutant this season to have come through our academy.
The youth system at the club continues to develop and bring through Super League quality talent and there is more to come if the Under 19s Academy record is anything to go by this season; as they sit top of the table having lost only one game to date.
And did you know that Joel Monaghan has a better strike rate of scoring in match than the great Brian Bevan? 70.3% compared to Bevan's 64%. But despite Monaghan's impressive four touchdowns against London he has a long way to go to better Bevan's number of hat-tricks; 98 is the target!
Local rivals Widnes Vikings are next up for both the academy and first team when we travel to the Select Security Stadium on Friday night, kick-off 5.30pm and 8pm.
Match tickets are on sale in WolfWare, at WolfWare Online and on 08448 11 11 76 (Mon-Fri 9am-5pm)
