Russell makes Wolves Debut
Fullback Matthew Russell made his Super League debut for the Wolves in yesterday's match against the Broncos.

Russell's previous Super League experience includes six appearances for Hull FC and two for Wigan before a short spell in Australia with the Gold Coast Titans.

The fullback came to the fore when he represented Scotland in last year's Rugby League World Cup . However, having sustained an ankle injury during pre-season, yesterday's match was his first appearance since the friendly against Widnes in December.

Former Wolves' player Mike Forshaw visited a team training session to present Matthew with his debut shirt ahead of the weekend.
Mike was signed from Bradford Bulls for the 2004 season.  He made his debut for Warrington Wolves in the first match at The Halliwell Jones Stadium on 21 February 2004, against Wakefield Trinity Wildcats.  He has Heritage Number 1051.

He played 22 matches, plus 1 as substitute for Warrington scoring 6 tries. He scored a try for Warrington in the Challenge Cup semi-final loss to Wigan.
He retired from playing at the end of the 2004 season and joined the coaching staff as the conditioning coach.  He moved to Wigan in a similar role after the end of the 2006 season.
